Introduction
Hi! My name is Megan. I am passionate about helping others, especially kids, feel confident in their abilities to be creative problem solvers. To do that, I create interactive and immersive STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) learning experiences that can be used in classrooms.
My background is in Engineering and biomechanics. I got my undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering and then received a certificate in orthotics from Northwestern. I currently serve as the Director of Education and Research for an international orthotic manufacturer. I am a certified orthotist, specializing in pediatrics and the science behind learning gross motor development.
I will be graduating in December 2022 with a master’s degree in Learning Design and Technology from Purdue (Boiler Up!). This blog will serve as a discussion forum for a class in the program about Human Performance Technology. I am looking forward to learning more about how I can grow and use new knowledge from this class to help teachers and their students.
I live in Plainfield Indiana with my husband Troy and three sons, Eli, Logan, and Connor. Life is busy with school, sports, and hunting for fossils in our creek, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
